I have my own home studio where I record and edit with a same day to 48 hour service. If needed you can skype phonepatch into a recording or I can go to other studios in London or Brighton if you prefer isdn.
Inside my booth I have:
Microphone: AKG C414 with Rycote InVision USM and pop shield. The AKG is a great microphone and is always highly rated by among others "Sound on Sound".
Amp: Saffire Focusrite Pro 14
Studio Monitors: Yamaha HS 50M
ATH M50 monitor headphones
sE Electronics Reflexion Filter pro
I use a Mac computer and edit with either Audacity or Final Cut Pro
I can deliver in what ever format you wish mp3, wav, aiff and more and I can offer skype phone patch from my studio or I have access to other studios for isdn.
And depending on the size of the project I will usually send it via Yousendit or Dropbox
